| Job Overview | The Public Relations Intern will perform a variety of tasks including brainstorming with the Emerald Isle team on new campaigns or tactics, media release distribution and follow-up and writing press releases, brochures and mailers. The Public Relations Intern will be responsible for other tasks daily as assigned. |
| Job Description | The Public Relations Intern is responsible for: * Brainstorming with the Emerald Isle team on new campaigns or tactics * Writing press releases, brochures and mailers * Media release distribution and follow-up * Internet research * Serving as receptionist; answering phones, transferring calls; assisting customers when they arrive for meetings. * Client survey summaries * Press kit compilation * Source reporter databases via CISION * Media kit compilation * Deliveries to clients * Sitting in on client meetings * Shadowing in-house staff * Proofreading magazine, collateral printer proofs |
| Job Qualifications | * College student studying marketing, public relations, or another related communications field * Must provide relevant references upon request * Preferably available 20-30 hours/week, but hours are negotiable |
