Wisconsin Maritime Museum is seeking a Director of Development and Marketing

The Wisconsin Maritime Museum, an AAM accredited institution and Smithsonian Affiliate, seeks an experienced fund-raising professional with marketing expertise and a demonstrated track record of success. With 60,000 sq. ft. of modern facilities and the nation’s most completely restored WWII submarine, the Museum offers an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified individual to guide the institutional advancement of the Great Lake’s premier maritime museum. This position will be located at the Museum in Manitowoc, Wis. 

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the full-time Director of Development supports the Board of Directors and plays a lead role in annual appeals, ongoing individual donor and corporate solicitation, including all memberships, campaigns and planned giving programs with primary responsibility for managing donor solicitation and prospect research. In addition, the Director of Development works closely with department heads to identify funding needs and assists with their grant-writing efforts.
